MURCHISON CONSTRUCT/CIRCLE KCircle K Stores - Topographic & boundary surveys performed for five store sites. Coordination for utilities and agency permits was provided. Site development and utility plans were prepared for each store.
LES SCHWAB TIRE CENTERSLes Schwab Stores in Eureka and Fortuna - Full surveying and civil engineering services were provided for these two sites. The Eureka site required a storm water pollution control devise and permit from Corp of Engineers and Fish & Game. A coastal development permit was also obtain by Omsberg & Company for this project.
MERCER FRASER COMPANYBayshore Mall Construction - Construction staking for parking lot, drainage and off-site improvements for Mercer, Fraser Company. This project entailed construction staking and monitoring for major roadway and parking improvements consisting of approximately 22 acres of paving, 21,000 linear feet of curbing and 13,000 square feet of sidewalk installation (as well as other miscellaneous improvements).
City of Arcata
BAYSIDE ROADBayside Road Sewage Lift Station - Design sewage lift station and topographic drainage system site plan. This entailed preparation of construction plans for an access road, drainage, and a sewer lift station; construction staking; design engineers supervision during construction.
ALDERGROVE ROADAldergrove Road Improvements- The project required soils exploration and analysis and the preparation of plans, specifications and engineer's estimate for street improvements (including storm drainage structures) for the Aldergrove industrial area. Permits were initiated and obtained for funding for the railroad crossing and signalization through the Northwestern Pacific Railroad Company and the California Public Utilities Commission. Construction staking and limited inspections were performed during construction and were completed under budget. The project was EDA funded; construction costs were $180,000.
City of Eureka
"C" STREET"C" Street Reconstruction Project - Improvement plans, specifications, engineer's estimate, construction management, staking and inspection services for the reconstruction of six blocks of downtown Eureka (1986). The project included approximately $500,000 of improvements, including 900 feet of sanitary sewer line reconstruction drainage improvements, and the reconstruction of streets and sidewalks.
FIRST STREETFirst Street Reconstruction, "C" to "G" Streets> - This project required the preparation of construction plans, specifications and engineer's estimate for street improvements, including replacement and relocation of sewer mains, storm sewers, water mains and public utilities. The project was completed on schedule and construction costs were $346,000.
WATERFRONT DRIVE
Waterfront Drive, Phases II and III - Phase II provided the phased design of some 4,400 feet of Waterfront Drive consisting of construction plans, specifications and engineer's estimate for roadway improvements, water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage facilities, and utility construction and relocations. Construction staking, engineering and inspection services were provided for this project, which was completed satisfactorily in 1981, within the budget. Construction costs were approximately $1.5 million.
After the satisfactory completion of Phase II the City of Eureka again contracted with Omsberg & Company for Phase III construction. This Phase, generally similar to Phase II, included additional requirements for railroad track construction and greater soils excavation. Construction costs were $403,000.00.
MYRTLE AND WEST AVENUEMyrtle and West Avenue Widening, Phases II and III - Omsberg & Company provided inspection services, construction staking and project management on this portion of the Myrtle Avenue project. This project was administered by CalTrans and the majority of the project was FAU funded.
SECOND STREETSecond Street Reconstruction, "I" to "K" Streets - This project required the redesign and preparation of construction plans, specifications, construction staking and inspection services for the core area redevelopment project including utilities and roadway.
